You can be royal too
A princess' way to etiquette part two

Part two of the princess's etiquette! Today it will be about manners and being polite. Last week it was about how to look like a princess from the outside. Now we will talk about the inside!

1. A true lady doesn't speak ill of others and know when to keep their mouths shut

It is taboo to talk bad about other people without them knowing! A real princess should talk to the person if they are bothered by the other person's behavior or whatever the issue is. Besides, just imagine if that person heard that you are gossiping about him/her. Wouldn't the situation be much more worse than it first was? Nobody wants other people to talk bad about them. It is no fun and in a lot of cases you can hurt somebody by doing that.

Also know when to not speak. Is it polite to talk and giggle with your best friend when somebody is holding a presentation? No it isn't.

2. Be polite and patient

It is always good to call somebody who is older than you 'Miss' or 'Sir' not only will that sound better than “Hey you!” They will treat you different than if you don't show respect to them. Also don't forget to say 'Thank you' or 'You are welcome.' However don't always expect a thank you after you help people, sometimes people just seem to forget, or well, not bother.

If you are waiting in the store, and the people that are standing in front of you seem to multiply every time you wink, stay calm. Do not scream or shout, do not stomp your feet or if you are on the phone, don't loudly say “This cashier woman is so slow, you know!” All of this is very rude, and if you do this, realize you are a bad example for other people as well.

It is very frustrating to wait in front of a long line. So try to think of other things. Play a game on your phone, listen to some music or think about tonight's dinner or perhaps plans for the next days.

3. Don't lie

Nobody likes people who lie, or break promises. People will not trust you if you break promises all the time or make up a lot of lies. Try to think before you make a promise. Ask yourself: 'Can I really fulfill it?' 'What happens if I break the promise?' 'Why am I making the promise?' Try to not say 'I promise' to everything. Nobody will believe you if you break all promises you made. Try to be truthful to people and try to avoid lying.

4. Remain a good posture

Imagine being on a date with somebody, and when you look over at them you see that they are almost sleeping in their chair! Would you like that? I think having a good posture is good too. Try to sit straight, and to walk gracefully. Imagine stomping your way through the streets, people will be scared of you!!

This was the last part of some of the princess' etiquette rules. Thank you for reading!
