Am I Ready to Leave Home?
In Netherlands it is quite normal to already leave your parents home when you are 16-18, as those are the ages teenagers start college. They usually stay in a student's dorm where they share the dorm with other students, most of the time the bathroom is shared, as well as the kitchen. Other people leave their home because they got married or want to live together with their boyfriend or girlfriend. Unfortunately there are some people who flee the house due to problems at home, or even abuse.
But how can you know when you’re truly ready to leave home? Consider three important subjects to think about before you move out.
What is the reason for moving out?
- Escape problems at home
- Gain more freedom
- Improve my status with my friends
- Help out a friend who needs a roommate
- Gain experience
- Ease the financial burden on my parents
Moving out is a personal decision for every single person. When we look at the above reasonings for moving out, which one would suit you the most? Each reason has a positive part to it.

How to sleep like a princess
@ 3:10 AM | 0 Comment [s]
The Harvard Women’s Health Watch suggests six reasons to get enough sleep.
Learning and memory: Sleep helps the brain commit new information to memory through a process called memory consolidation. In studies, people who’d slept after learning a task did better on tests later.
Metabolism and weight: Chronic sleep deprivation may cause weight gain by affecting the way our bodies process and store carbohydrates, and by altering levels of hormones that affect our appetite.
Safety: Sleep debt contributes to a greater tendency to fall asleep during the daytime. These lapses may cause falls and mistakes such as medical errors, air traffic mishaps, and road accidents.
Mood: Sleep loss may result in irritability, impatience, inability to concentrate, and moodiness. Too little sleep can also leave you too tired to do the things you like to do.
Cardiovascular health: Serious sleep disorders have been linked to hypertension, increased stress hormone levels, and irregular heartbeat.
Disease: Sleep deprivation alters immune function, including the activity of the body’s killer cells. Keeping up with sleep may also help fight cancer.

Celestial seasonings sleepytime extra review
Friday, February 15, 2013 @ 4:13 PM | 1 Comment [s]Nothing promotes physical and mental well being like a restful evening. So if you’re wondering how to sleep better or just looking for something to help you unwind, try a cup of Sleepytime Extra®. This relaxing and delicious herbal tea starts with the time-honored blend of chamomile, spearmint and other soothing herbs found in our beloved Sleepytime herbal tea. We then add valerian, trusted as a natural sleep aid since the days of the Greeks and Romans because of its mild sedative properties. The result is a tea with the trusted calming effect and great taste of Sleepytime, plus just a little “extra” to help you rest. *\
I have quite the trouble falling asleep at times. After trying different type of methods which includes this:
1. Staying up for a long time and go to bed early at night. I thought it would make me tired enough to fall asleep as soon as I lay my head on the pillow. Boy, was I wrong! Say hello to TWO sleepless nights instead of one!
2. Sleeping pills. It seemed like a good temporary solution, to take sleeping pills. However it worked only for a few nights and then it stopped working. I tossed the box away in the trash.
3. Do more exercises during the day and forcing myself to fall asleep. The exercises did made me more tired than when I didn't exercises. But unfortunately this did not work either.
It all didn't worked and I decided to look into the more natural products to find something to help me drift to sleep.
When I was at the local health store, my eyes caught a glance of the different type of tea's celestial seasonings had to offer. The packaging really caught my attention, and after reading through ingredients and reading the description I decided to buy it.
